I bought a 4 harness loom today from a woman in Sedona!

It's a Macomber folding loom; she advertised it as 18 inch but from what I can find, it's either a 16 inch or a 20 inch as they don't make 18 inch looms.

I have lots of home spun I need to use up, and I thought I could weave faster than I could knit, plus I want to make towels or placemats.

Can you please please help me warp this thing???? If I see it done I can do it (I think).

She says yes. She hasn't seen this post yet, but I know her.

First you need this book:
It explains the process better than any other book
http://www.amazon.com/Warping-All-Yourself-Cay-Garrett/dp/0930670019

and this book: it gives you all the formulas you will need to figure out how much yarn you will need.
http://www.amazon.com/Weavers-Companion-Madelyn-van-Hoogt/dp/1883010810/ref=pd_sim_b_3

and then I will help you warp your loom.

If it's warped, won't it weave crooked cloth?

I know, I'm a Tool!

Well, I'll have to wait on the books for a little bit. Sean called, he's in deep trouble with money -- the economic turndown is finally hitting the small aircraft industry and he's getting his hours cut. He said he may not even have a job in three months.
